The dashboard got faster to look at
Every surface in the dashboard was re-cut against two apps we admire, by reading what they actually do rather than how they look — type sizes, ink values, borders, shadows, and the exact duration of every transition.
The change you will feel first is speed. One 220ms duration was doing the work of three: a colour change, a shadow and a panel opening all took the same time, and that is what made the interface feel heavy. Colour now settles in 90ms and only something that genuinely moves takes its time.
The rest is quieter. Cards sit on the page instead of dissolving into it. Secondary text is a single value that stays right on white, on a card and on a highlighted row, instead of three greys that drifted apart. Body text is a size larger and the black is a shade softer, because nothing we measured went as hard as we did.
